Ingredients for Restorative Hair Oil

Dried Petal Of Hibiscus

Hibiscus is rich in natural pigments, antioxidants, and vitamins that can give a crimson tinge to your grey hair and bring out darker shine to your natural hair color.

Sesame Oil

Sesame oil has a warming effect that, in turn, helps in reducing muscle pain. It also works wonders during winters when the feet are often cold.

Dried Lawsonia Alba Leaves

Dried Lawsonia alba leaves or Henna leaves can nourish the roots and make the scalp and the follicles healthy. The henna leaves are also believed to take away excess oil from the scalp and prevent dandruff problems.

Lavender

Lavender oil can be a safe and valuable add-on to your hair care regimen. Studies show it may promote hair growth and prevent thinning. It may also have other perks for overall scalp and hair health

Japakusum Hair Oil

Japakusum or shoeflower hair oil arrests premature graying of hair as recommended by Ayurveda. This oil can even maintain the natural pigment of your hair. This home made Japakusum hair oil can be stored as long as 3 months.

Preparation:

Crush the dried herbs in a blender. Add enough water to make a paste.

Pour 100 ml of Sesame oil in a stainless steel vessel.

Add the herbal pastes and the remaining water and boil on a low flame. Continue stirring till all the water evaporates and only the oil remains. Put off the flame.

When it becomes lukewarm, strain the oil through a double layered muslin cloth.

On cooling, add the perfuming oil. Transfer the contents into a narrow mouthed bottle and secure the cap tightly.

Usage:

Take a small volume of Japakusum hair oil onto your palms. Gently apply it over the scalp and hair. Allow the oil to work for one hour before you wash it off
