Sets up two outlets at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport
Marks newu’s entry into South India
Outlets to stock & sell international & domestic beauty & health products
New Delhi, April 8th, 2008: Dabur India Ltd’s retail subsidiary, H&B Stores Ltd, today announced its entry into South India with the opening of two beauty, health and wellness retail stores – under the brand name ‘newu’ – at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. These outlets will offer air travellers a large choice of leading international and national beauty and health brands in categories as diverse as personal care, baby care, fashion accessories and male grooming.
While one ‘newu’ outlet will operate out of a Kiosk in the Check-In departure area, offering convenience items such as gifts and daily essentials to passengers on the go, the second store is located in the Village Shopping Area in the passenger arrivals greeting area. This outlet offers a range of Health, Beauty & Wellness items, along with snacks, drinks and last-minute daily essentials including flowers & gift items required by busy air travellers and those waiting to greet & meet them, newu Chief Executive Officer Mr. Peter Baker said.

Speaking at the stores’ opening, Sunitha Srinivasan, Head of Southern India for H&B Stores, said: “One big hit with all our customers has been the fact we sell all items at MRP or -- if on promotion – lesser than MRP, so the shopper gets the same price and value on all our items as they would in any other retail location in India.”
H&B Stores Ltd is now preparing to rapidly expand its presence in the organised retail market throughout India. “We shall continue to aggressively expand our presence in the organized retail market with a presence in both high streets and quality malls. In the coming months, we will be opening fresh ‘newu’ stores in Delhi/NCR, besides stepping into newer markets like Bangalore, Chandigarh and Ludhiana, as part of plans to grow the ‘newu’ presence to about 20 stores by the end of the 2008-09 fiscal,” said
