Dabur Amla Begins Asli Amla Star Ki Khoj From Lucknow

Lucknow, January 07, 2012: The hunt for the Dabur 'Asli Amla Star' begins! Hundreds of girls from Lucknow made a beeline today to the Phoenix Mall in the city flaunting their crowning glory as Dabur Amla Hair Oil hosted the first-ever Dabur Asli Amla Star Ki Khoj – a unique contest to identify the girl with the best hair in the town. 

 

Ms Sana Siddique from Lucknow was crowned the winner at the finale held this evening. The winner will now be featured in an advertising campaign along with Bollywood celebrity and Dabur Amla Hair Oil Brand Ambassador Rani Mukherjee. 

 

The contest was kick-started 3 days back in Lucknow with the Dabur Amla team visiting number of prominent colleges in Lucknow promoting the contest amongst the girl students. The team also visited several hot spots and markets in the city to spread information about the contest. In all, more than 1,000 girls from Lucknow applied to participate in the contest, making it one of the biggest star hunt in Lucknow in recent times. 

 

The contest finale was held today in Phoenix Mall in the city where hundreds of participants turned up from 12 noon onwards. A hair expert judged them in terms of the length, strength and beauty of their hair and 12 girls were shortlisted for the final round held at 5 PM today. Renowned beauty expert from Lucknow and owner of Innovative Cure Health & Beauty Institute Ms Anuradha Gupta and popular RJ from Radio Mirchi judged the final 12 contestants to select the winner. 

 

Today’s finale in Lucknow also marks the national launch of the Dabur Asli Amla Star Ki Khoj campaign. Under the campaign, the Dabur Amla team will go to 13 cities including 6 cities of UP – Lucknow, Noida, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Varanasi and Allahabad -- to hunt for the lady with the most beautiful hair in each town and crown her as the Dabur Asli Amla Star.
