newu presence expands to ten outlets
New store, located at Bangalore’s biggest tech park ITPB, will be the one-stop shop for all beauty & wellness products
12-15 new stores to opened over next one year
New Delhi, March 22nd, 2009: Moving forward on its retail expansion plan, Dabur India Ltd’s retail subsidiary -- H&B Stores Ltd -- today announced the opening of its fourth newu outlet in Bangalore. With this, the newu presence has now grown to ten outlets spread across North and South India.
The company also announced plans to add 12-15 new stores over the next one year to further expand its footprint in the beauty, health & wellness retail market across the country. “We have added two new stores to the newu network in the last one month, and continue to move forward on the expansion path with a vision to provide smart retail options to our customers. All our outlets have been very well received, which gives us the confidence to further expand our presence. The reduction in rental rates is an added incentive to move forward with our expansion strategy,” a company spokesperson said.
The latest newu store is located in one of the biggest tech parks in Bangalore – ITPB in Whitefield area – and marks the opening of its seventh newu branded outlet in South India alone. The store will cater to all the beauty & wellness needs of customers at the Tech Park.
The latest newu store – spread over 300 sq. ft. -- will offer the discerning consumer a wide selection of brands in categories as diverse as cosmetics, skin care, hair care, fragrances, herbal care, beauty implements & accessories, gifts & confectionery, men & children toiletries, health foods and Ayurvedic products, said Ms Sunitha Srinivasan, Head (South India), H&B stores Limited.
“The brand newu has become synonymous with easy access to international and national health, beauty & wellness brands. In a short span of time, we have made our presence felt in the retail market in India. The store will also offer a range of beauty and fashion accessories under the newu private label, besides exclusive brands like the Aromatara skin care range, Rasasi and Ajmal fragrances and Iha soaps. We will also provide a host of free services to customers, including makeovers and Ayurvedic consultation,” added Ms. Srinivasan.
The store’s ‘tone and manner’ has been created to provide customers with a ‘total shopping experience’; an organized and modern interior offering a relaxed, soothing ambience for customers to discover a new world of beauty, health and wellness, in their own time.
