Dabur Holds National Level Quiz To Promote Ayurveda

Sirsa-Based Ayujyoti College Emerges Winner
 
New Delhi, September 11th, 2014: Dabur India Ltd. India’s largest Ayurvedic healthcare company, has rolled out a unique initiative to promote the age-old science of Ayurveda amongst the new generation. As part of this initiative, Dabur organized an inter-college contest – Ayurved Samvad -- the Grand Finale of which was held here today.
 
The team from Sirsa-based Ayujyoti Ayurvedic College & Hospital emerged the winner of the Ayurved Samvad Quiz, while Kurukshetra-based Shri Krishna Govt. Ayurved College team was the First Runner Up. The winning team received brand new i-pads along with the certificate & Shield while the first Runner-Up received Tablets and Certificates.
 
More than 700 students from different Ayurveda colleges across India competed in the qualifier rounds to represent their college at the Grand Finale of Ayurved Samvad Inter-College Quiz Contest. Twenty One students from seven colleges were selected to compete for the Finals on the basis of a month-long exercise qualifier rounds.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Durga Prasad, Head of Medical Marketing, Dabur India Ltd said: “The objective of this event is to enhance knowledge and increase learning opportunities, through national level exposure and interaction with the larger student fraternity. The Quiz contest provides a competitive platform to students of Ayurveda to help them enhance their knowledge and bring out the best in themselves.
 
The Final was a contest between Seven teams- Chaudhary Devilal College of Ayurveda, Seth Murarilal Rasiwasia Ayurved College & Hospital, Shri Maru Singh Memorial Mahila Ayurved Degree College, Shri Krishna Govt. Ayurved College, Gaur Brahman Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Ayujyoti Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Baba Mastnath Ayurvedic College.
 
On this occasion, Dabur India ltd also announced the launch of ‘Ayurmedha’ an Annual Ayurveda scholarship programme for the brightest students from top Ayurvedic colleges in the country.
 
The future of this ‘traditional science’ depends on the quality of students who will practice this system of medicine or conduct research in this field.
