Board Announces 125% Final Dividend
New Delhi, June 18th, 2010: The audited financial results of Dabur India Limited for the financial year 2009-10 including the effect of the merger of Fem Care Pharma Ltd. with itself have been approved by the Dabur India Ltd Board in the meeting held today.
Fem Merger
30th June, 2010, has been fixed as the record date for allotment of Dabur India Ltd. shares to Fem Care Pharma shareholders in the ratio of 5:1, i.e. 5 shares of Dabur India Ltd for every 1 Fem Care Pharma share held.
The merger of Fem Care Pharma Ltd. with Dabur India Ltd. has been approved by the Delhi High Court on 19th April, 2010, and Bombay High Court on 7th May, 2010. Upon filing of these orders with respective Registrar of Companies, the merger will come into effect retrospectively from 1st April, 2009. With this, Fem Care Pharma Ltd. will now cease to exist.
The consolidated sales of Dabur India Ltd in 2009-10 have registered a 20.6% growth over the previous fiscal to Rs. 3,416.67 Crore as against Rs. 2,834.11 Crore a year ago. The Net Profit also marked a 28.6% surge to Rs. 503.23 Crore, up from Rs. 391.21 Crore in the previous financial year.
Dividend
The Board today also recommended a final Dividend of 125%, which brings the total Dividend for the year to 200%. “Continuing with our payout policy, the Board has proposed a final dividend of Rs. 1.25 per share, aggregating to Rs. 127.08 Crore. With the interim Dividend of 75% already paid earlier, the total dividend during the year is 200%,” Dabur India Ltd Chairman Dr. Anand Burman said.
