Dabur Amla Finds Asli Amla Star In Varanasi, Indore, Udaipur

The hunt for the Dabur 'Asli Amla Star' is on! Hundreds of girls from Varanasi, Indore & Udaipur made a beeline in their respective cities, flaunting their crowning glory as Dabur Amla Hair Oil hosted the first-ever Dabur Asli Amla Star Ki Khoj - a unique contest to identify the girl with the best hair in the town.

 

Ms Jyotsana Masih was crowned the winner at the Varanasi finale, while Priya Sanghvi bagged the crown in Indore and Sapna Verma won the title from Udaipur. The winners will now be featured in an advertising campaign along with Bollywood celebrity and Dabur Amla Hair Oil Brand Ambassador Rani Mukherjee.

 

The contest was kick-started 3 days back in the three cities with the Dabur Amla team visiting number of prominent colleges in the city promoting the contest amongst the girl students. The team also visited several hot spots and markets in the city to spread information about the contest. In all, more than 1,000 girls from Varanasi applied to participate in the contest, making it one of the biggest star hunt in these cities in recent times.

 

The contest finale was held today in a prominent mall in each of the cities where hundreds of participants turned up from 12 noon onwards. A hair expert judged them in terms of the length, strength and beauty of their hair and 12 girls were shortlisted for the final round held around 5 PM on Saturday, February 4th, 2012. An independent panel judged the final 12 contestants to select the city winners.

 

The finale is part of the first phase of the national launch of the Dabur Asli Amla Star Ki Khoj campaign. Under the campaign, the Dabur Amla team will be visiting 13 cities including 6 cities of UP – Lucknow, Noida, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Varanasi and Allahabad -- to hunt for the lady with the most beautiful hair in each town and crown her as the Dabur Asli Amla Star.
