- Contest receives over 30,000 entries
Hyderabad, Nov 25th, 2012: Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil, the leading natural hair care product from the House of Dabur, today hosted the semi-final audition of its mega model hunt – Search For Vatika Star – in Hyderabad. Eight stunning beauties from Andhra Pradesh were shortlisted in the audition held today. These finalists will now vie for the coveted crown of Vatika Star at the Grand Finale to be held in December in Hyderabad. The winner of the ‘Search For Vatika Star’ contest would get an opportunity to feature in the next advertisement of Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil.
In addition to the eight finalists, one Hyderabad resident also stands a chance to win a Wild card Entry to the finals of of the contestants shortlisted today from the audition now stand a chance to win a wild card entry into the Grand Finale of ‘Search For Vatika Star’ contest through a special on-air initiative, said Vatika Hair Oil Brand Head Mr. Rama Dhamija.
The contest saw participation from over 30,000 girls from the state. After a detailed screening and shortlisting exercise by an independent panel, 50 girls were shortlisted and invited for the semi-final audition held in Hyderabad to compete for a berth in the Grand Finale.
The contestants went through three intense rounds during the audition -- the introduction round, talent round and a question-answer session with the panel of judges. The talent round was the most exciting, which saw contestants display a variety of talent. Before the Grand Finale, the finalists will undergo a special grooming and training programme in the city in the presence of experts from the modeling and grooming industry, before they vie for the coveted title.
