20 Beauties from Hyderabad make it to Grand Finale of Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow 2011

Hyderabad, December 18th, 2011: Dabur India Limited, India's leading natural beauty care Company, today hosted the semi-final audition of its mega model hunt – Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow 2011 – in Hyderabad. Twenty stunning girls from the city were shortlisted in the audition, which received over 6,000 plus entries from across South India. These 20 finalists will now vie for the coveted crown of Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow (South) 2011 in the Zonal Grand Finale to be held on 24th December in Hyderabad.

 

 

The South India round saw close to a 6,000 plus girls from the region filing their nominations for the contest, of which over 250 were shortlisted after a grueling selection process by an independent panel. The shortlisted girls were invited for semi-final auditions to compete for a berth in the zonal grand finale.

 

While the winner of the zonal finale will walk away with a one-year modeling contract with Glitz Modeling along with a free portfolio shoot by a professional fashion photographer and cash prize of Rs 50000, the First Runner-Up will take home a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and the Second Runner-Up will get Rs 20,000. The Top 3 contestants from the Finale of the Hyderabad edition then join the other 9 top contestants (3 each from each zone) and perform in front of a special jury of Femina Miss India on January 8th, 2012. The jury headed by coveted grooming expert and fashion choreographer Marc Robinson would select one of the top 12 contestants as the wild card entry to the finale of Femina Miss India 2012 to be held in Mumbai. Before the Miss India finale she will undergo a special grooming and training programme for 40 days in Goa.

 

The contestants went through three intense rounds during the audition -- the introduction round, talent round and a question-answer session with the panel of judges. The talent round was the most exciting, which saw contestants display a variety of talent. The contestants were judged by Shireen Khan of Chash Of India, Ace Fashion Designer Neelam Ashley, Byas Anand from Dabur India and Miss Hyderabad 2011 Anushka Shah.

 

The finalists will now undergo a 4-day intensive grooming programme in Hyderabad in the presence of experts from the modeling and grooming industry, before they vie for the coveted title in the zonal grand finale in Hyderabad.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Neha said: "This is our 3rd initiative in Hyderabad after successfully hosting similar model hunts in 2009 and 2010. "We have, in fact, been hosting the Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow contest as regional beauty contest in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Northeast for last 4 years. With the overwhelming response that we have been getting over the years to the model hunt, this year we have scaled it up to make it a National event and give the young talents from UP a chance to get a wild card entry to the Miss India finale and also give them a national platform by aligning them with a top-notch modeling agency. We intend to make it the biggest beauty initiative in Uttar Pradesh which offers the young girls from the region a platform to enter the world of mainstream modeling at national level. This initiative will also serve as a unique way of spreading beauty awareness among the young and college-going girls of India." Ms Neha added.
