In FY 2024–25, we continued to strengthen our intellectual capital through focused investments in research and development, product innovation, and knowledge-sharing platforms. Supported by a robust distribution network and an unwavering commitment to quality, our intellectual assets not only fuel product development and operational excellence but also reinforce our ability to deliver long-term value to consumers and stakeholders alike.

Innovation is not just a function, it is a philosophy deeply embedded in Dabur's legacy of Ayurveda and natural wellness. Our approach to innovation is rooted in a unique synergy between tradition and modernity, where the wisdom of ancient Ayurveda meets the marvels of modern-day science to cater to the needs and aspirations of today’s consumers.
Our team of 120 scientists and botanists plays a pivotal role in this journey. Working closely with marketing and consumer research teams, they translate emerging consumer insights into meaningful product innovations. This cross-functional collaboration ensures that every new concept is not only scientifically validated but also resonates with the evolving needs and preferences of our diverse consumer base, across generations and geographies.
Whether it’s developing advanced formulations using rare botanicals or enhancing delivery systems for better efficacy, our innovation pipeline is guided by a deep understanding of both nature and the consumer. This year, we introduced several breakthrough products that reflect this integrated approach — each one a testament to our commitment to delivering health and wellness solutions that are effective, safe, and aligned with our Ayurvedic heritage.

The new product launches in FY 2024-25 include Sanifresh 2-in-1; Odonil Automatic Aerosol; Oxylife Vitamin-C 6-Step Skin Brightening Facial Kit; Oxylife Sensi Care Advanced Anti-Acne Facial Kit; Dabur Kesar Ubtan Tan Removal Face Wash; Dabur Cool King Talc; and Dabur Kids Toothpaste in the Home & Personal Care categories. In the Food & Beverages categories, the new launches include Real Bites, Real Fizzin, Hajmola Zeera, and Hajmola Imli Candy, besides a new spices range under Badshah. The healthcare business saw the launch of a range of nutraceuticals under the Siens brand, new health juices, and Khajurprash.

This year, our focused investments in research and innovation have led to the expansion of our patent portfolio, with several new patents filed and granted.
The year saw the filing of 9 new patents and the publication of 9 research papers, reflecting our commitment to scientific advancement and thought leadership. Dabur was granted 1 patent for its Odonil Zipper air freshener. The patent applications span a range of categories — from novel herbal formulations and delivery systems to sustainable packaging and process innovations. Our innovation pipeline delivered over 15 new product developments.

Dabur Khajurprash: A Tasty Step Toward Iron Health
In line with our commitment to address pressing health concerns through innovation, Dabur introduced Khajurprash, a unique blend of premium dates and over 40 Ayurvedic herbs, designed to support healthy haemoglobin levels, combat iron deficiency, and build immunity, especially among Indian women.
With its natural sweetness and rich nutrient profile, it stands as a delicious and purposeful alternative in the health supplement space.
Dabur Herb’l Kids Toothpaste: Nurturing Healthy Smiles
Expanding our oral care portfolio with a focus on safety, delight, and science-backed wellness, Dabur entered the kids’ toothpaste category with the launch of Dabur Herb’l Kids Toothpaste. Specially formulated for children aged 3 and above, this fluoride-free, chemical-free toothpaste blends natural protection with fun, featuring beloved characters like Iron Man and Elsa to make brushing a joyful habit. Crafted with Ayurvedic expertise and free from parabens, SLS, and artificial flavours, it offers cavity protection while promoting healthy enamel. This innovation not only addresses a critical need for safer oral care in children but also reinforces Dabur’s commitment to combining herbal wisdom with modern relevance.
Sanifresh 2-in-1 Toilet Cleaner + Conditioner: Revolutionising Toilet Hygiene
Sanifresh 2-in-1 Toilet Cleaner + Conditioner marks a breakthrough in home hygiene innovation, redefining convenience and luxury in bathroom care. Housed in a unique dual-compartment bottle, this product delivers two powerful liquids simultaneously — an advanced blue toilet cleaner and a gel-powered lavender conditioner — ensuring 10X better cleaning and 10X better conditioning in a single use. The cleaner cuts through tough limescale, eliminates 99.9% of germs, and sanitises surfaces, while the conditioner prevents soil buildup and infuses the space with a long-lasting, vibrant lavender fragrance. Cool King Icy Perfume Talc: A Double Burst of Freshness and Innovation
Dabur made a refreshing entry into the talcum powder category with the launch of Cool King Icy Perfume Talc, a cutting-edge innovation designed for India’s hot and humid climate. Powered by encapsulated cooling bead technology and menthol cooling crystals, this talcdelivers a unique double-burst cooling effect and up to 12 hours of icy freshness. The product activates on contact with sweat, offering an instant and long-lasting cooling sensation.

In FY 2024–25, we deepened our focus on sustainable product innovation and communication — prioritising health, safety, and environmental stewardship across the value chain. Our R&D teams advanced the use of eco-design principles, plant-based alternatives, and resource-efficient manufacturing to reduce environmental impact while enhancing consumer wellbeing. We also strengthened ingredient traceability and transparency to build greater trust and accountability.
Inspiring Smarter Choices
We believe that health begins with awareness. While health consciousness is rising across India, carbonated soft drinks still dominate the beverage landscape. Through a new campaign for our range of No-Added Sugar juices under the Réal Activ brand, we sought to challenge this norm by spotlighting the importance of healthy drinking alongside healthy eating.
Through a powerful visual contrast — 5 cubes of added sugar in a glass of cola versus the 100% fruit goodness of Réal Activ with no added sugar — we encouraged consumers to make smarter, more mindful choices. This initiative was more than a marketing campaign; it was a movement toward guilt-free hydration and transparent nutrition. As India’s leading natural health and Ayurveda company, Dabur is proud to lead this conversation, empowering consumers to choose better, live healthier, and stay naturally refreshed.
On World Oral Health Day, Dabur Red Toothpaste launched the nationwide #SwitchToFluorideFree campaign to raise awareness about the health risks of fluoride overexposure, especially in fluoride-endemic regions of India. Through influencer-led storytelling, on-ground activations, and educational content, the campaign challenged long-standing myths around fluoride’s role in oral care. Backed by scientific insights linking high fluoride intake to conditions like skeletal fluorosis and cognitive decline in children, Dabur’s initiative urged consumers to make informed, natural choices. This campaign reinforces our commitment to safe, Ayurvedic oral care and empowers individuals to prioritise long-term health over convention.
Reimagining Refreshment: Cutting Sugar, Not Taste
A key pillar of our health-first strategy is our ongoing sugar reduction journey. In 2018, Dabur, as a voluntary signatory to FSSAI’s Eat Right India movement, pledged to reduce sugar by 5% in two-thirds of their beverage portfolio by the year 2021 and another 5% sugar reduction in half of its beverage portfolio by 2023, taking the total reduction to 10% of 2018 levels. Till 2023, Dabur surpassed set targets of 10% sugar reduction by reducing sugar by around 21% over the 2018 levels, more than double the commitment, and continues to work on additional avenues of sugar reduction across the beverage portfolio.
In this regard, we are currently working on sugar reduction to the tune of an additional 20% in the Real core beverage range. Additionally, we are developing low-sugar and zero-sugar variants to cater to consumers who are conscious of their sugar intake. We already have a wide range of healthy juices under Real Activ with zero added sugar and coconut water, which is a low-cal beverage with less than 20 kcal.
Additionally, complementing this, we have also introduced smaller pack sizes to promote mindful consumption and affordability.
Our commitment extends beyond product formulation. Through our Safe and Nutritious Food interventions, we reached thousands of students and community members, promoting balanced diets and healthy habits. Our community awareness campaigns have resulted in an overwhelming majority of individuals targeting to incorporate fruits and vegetables into their meals.
As consumer expectations evolve, Dabur remains steadfast in its mission to deliver healthier, safer, and more sustainable products, anchored in trust, innovation, and purpose.
As we look ahead, Dabur remains committed to deepening its innovation ecosystem by investing in cutting-edge research, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and accelerating the translation of ideas into impactful products. We aim to further integrate digital tools and AI-driven insights into our R&D processes to enhance speed-to-market and consumer relevance.
Strengthening partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs will be key to expanding our knowledge base. In parallel, we will continue to embed sustainability principles into product design and development—prioritising clean-label formulations, responsible sourcing, and circular packaging solutions. Our intellectual capital will remain the cornerstone of value creation as we build a more agile, inclusive, and future-ready organisation.
