Hyderabad, September 15, 2011: The hunt for India’s next ‘fresh face’ begins in Hyderabad today. Dabur Gulabari, the leading rose-based beauty care products brand from the House of Dabur, today announced the launch of the South India edition of the national beauty pageant Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face 2011 to discover the new fresh face, a face that embodies the values of Dabur Gulabari - soft, fresh skin that glows like a rose. Popular Tollywood Cine Star Tashu Kaushik declared the contest open today in a media conference in Kolkata. Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face of Hyderabad 2010 winner and upcoming model from Hyderabad Manaswini also graced the occasion.
The top 3 participants of the South India edition of Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face 2011 will stand a chance to get a wild card entry into the finals of Femina Miss India 2012. The top 3 contestants of the zonal finale will share a cash prize money of Rs 1 lakh, while the winner of the zonal finale for the South India edition will get an one-year modeling contract with the top-notch modeling agency of the country – Glitz Modelling and win a free portfolio shoot by a leading fashion photographer apart from standing a chance to get into the finals of Femina Miss India 2012. Application forms would also be distributed in select colleges in Hyderabad.

The national model hunt titled Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face 2011 would be conducted across four zones – East Zone overing the Northeastern states and West Bengal,, North Zone covering the state of Uttar Pradesh, South Zone covering the state of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and the Delhi-NCR Zone. The entry for the South Zone audition would be open from 16th of September and would close on 4th of October. The shortlisted contestants would go through a preliminary audition in Hyderabad on 8th October, where an independent jury will pick 15 zonal finalists, who would compete for the coveted crown of ‘Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face (South) 2011’ at the Zonal Grand Finale to be held on 15th of Ocotober in Hyderabad. Before this, the 15 finalists would undergo a special grooming programme for 3 days in Hyderabad under the guidance of professionals from fashion industry. While all the top 3 finalists further stand a chance to get a wild card entry into the Femina Miss India 2012 finals, the winner of the South Zone finale will walk away with a one-year modeling contract with Glitz Modeling along with a free portfolio shoot by a professional fashion photographer apart a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The first runner up of the zonal finale will take home a cash prize of Rs 30,000 and the second runner up will get Rs 20,000.
The top three contestants from the Finale of the South Zone then would be flown to Delhi for the national finale round to be held beginning of December, wherein all the 12 top contestants (3 each from each zone) would perform in front of a special jury of Femina Miss India. The jury headed by coveted grooming expert and fashion choreographer Marc Robinson would select one of the top 12 contestants as the wild card entry to the finale of Femina Miss India 2012 to be held in Mumbai. Before the Miss India finale she will undergo a special grooming and training programme for 40 days in Goa.
“We have been hosting the Dabur Gulabari Miss Fresh Face contest as regional beauty contest in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Northeast for last 3 years. With the overwhelming response that we have been getting over the years to the model hunt, this year we have scaled it up to make it a National event and give the young talents from South India a chance to get a wild card entry to the Miss india finale and also give them a national platform by aligning them with a top-notch modeling agency.
