Guar Gum, a versatile thickener and binding agent, is used widely in the food, pharmaceuticals, textile, paper and oil drilling industries. India provides 75% of the world’s output of Guar crop, from which guar gum powder and its derivatives are extracted.
Growing ideally in arid soil and weather conditions, 80% of India’s produce comes from the western Indian desert state of Rajasthan. Dabur set up its state-of-the art Guar Gum facility 25 years ago in Alwar, in the heart of the Guar bowl of India.
